It was a beautiful day here today. A light snow fell throughout the day, but it was nice and wet and will be gone tomorrow. Saturday it was 60* and today it was 34*. If you don't like the weather in Utah, just wait ten minutes.

I just got off the phone with my dad....He is 83 today. He is starting to sound his age and feels like he has outlived his usefulness and his strength. It makes me sad to talk to him to realize that his life is winding down. He takes a handful of pills three times a day to "keep myself going". The stress is starting to wear on Mom too.

We took Dexter(our boxer) to the vet on Friday for a biopsy on some spots he has. The results were not promising. Dr. McGuire thinks it is melanoma. That will be confirmed or not by this Friday. He has had a lack of appetite and low energy for the last month and now more and more spots are showing up. It makes me sad to think of losing him. I've become attached to this funny dog that was "given" to us by our son. However much I love him, I won't do the Chemo thing. I can't or won't justify spending that kind of money on a pet, even tho we love him alot.

The Relief Society lesson went well yesterday. I love these lessons we are able to teach this year on President Kimball's teachings. Maybe because he was the prophet during my teen years and so I remember him. How great to be able to teach about Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and his love for us. Sister G gave a great testimony of Christ as the Prince of Peace and what peace he can bring to us when our lives are in turmoil. I LOVE OUR WARD!

Introduction

We are Larry and Diane. We are from Utah county, Utah. We are empty nesters but have our children and grandchildren nearby. We are active in our church, active in our neighborhood, and fairly active in our community. Diane loves to travel. Larry travels for work and, therefore, doesn't love to travel. Round Table Ranch is the nickname we have given some recreational property that we have near a reservoir in eastern Utah.
